Affirmative, Negative and Interrogative in Urdu



Affirmative Sentence

A sentence that affirms (rather than negates) a proposition. It is also called positive sentence. Examples :
  1. I go to school = Main School Jaata hu. (Jaa-ta) (if boy saying this)
  2. I go to school = Main School Jaati hu.(Jaa-ti) (if girl saying this)
  3. They go to school= Way school Jaatey hai. (Jaa-tey) (for plural )
  4. Fee goes to office = Fee Office Jaati hai. (if ur sayin about Female)
  5. Ahmed goes to office = Ahmed office Jaata hai (if ur sayin about male)
  • Main = I
  • Way = They
  • Jaata/Jaati/Jaatey = go


      Negative Sentence

      A sentence (or statement) states that something is not true or incorrect. Examples :


      1.     I do not go to office = Main Office Nahi jaata/jaati hu
      o    Main = I
      o    nahi = not
      o    jaata = go (if boy saying this)
      o    jaati = go (if girl saying this)
      o    hu = indicating present tense
      2.     She does not go to home = Wo ghar nahi jaati hai
      o    Wo = that person
      o    ghar = home/house
      o    nahi = not
      o    Jaati = go (for girl)
      o    hai = indicating present tense
      3.     They do not go to school = Way School nahi jaatey hai (plural)
      o    way = they
      o    jaatey = go (becoz plural in the sentence)

      o    hai = indicating present tense

      Interrogative Sentence


      A question (interrogative sentence) asks about some missing information. Examples :

      1.     Am i go to School = Kya main School jaata hu ? (jaata = for boy)
      o    Kya = am (what)
      o    main = i
      o    jaata hu = go present
      2.     Does Fee go to Office = Kya Fee Office Jaati hai ? (jaati = for girl)
      o    Kya = does
      o    jaati hai = go present
      3.     Do they go to school = Kya way school Jaatey hai ?
      o    Kya = Do
      o    jaatey hai = go preset plural

      o    way = they


      Ta-hu,Ti-hu,Tey-hai = This type of word u will find in Present Simple (does,do,ies,s)

      This time topic's is "Rang". It means "Colour" or "Color". Basically they have the same meanings, which is the appearance or result of light reflections. British English usually spell the word "color" to "colour" and American English spell it as color without 'u'.
